I really like the subject and the pose!
The image looks like a big crop due to pixelation and some softness, esp in the head.
Light is a little harsh also.

NIce pose, Yves. I have to agree with Robert that this looks like a big crop and looks significantly oversharpened with a very marked halo and obvious BG noise. I agree, they are hard to get close to.

I like the pose, eye contact and BG. The halo has been mentioned and there seems to be some motion blur. The BG looks a bit noisy and there are some clone marks at the left.
