The photo of the Mute Swan posted recently reminded me of the large black stork I caught at the Nashville Zoo, so I thought I'd post a "companion" shot.

    Nikon D40x 1/80 F9 250 mm.

The backround and exposure are right on however the image looks soft and the head angle would be stronger if it was shot lower with the head facing more towards you.

The image is very soft......is this a large crop? Also, use of a tripod and a faster shutter speed would give you a sharper image. Any time that you can give more information such as amount of cropping, use of tripod/handheld, PS work, etc. will help in further critiquing the image.
