    Default Gannet

    Hi

Last summer my friend and I took a trip to Bempton Cliffs on the East Coast and spent most of the day taking flight shots of Gannet and Fulmar. This shot is of a young gannet passing close to the cliff edge and is a full frame photo of one of these beautiful birds.

    Taken with 1Dmk2N and 500mm (handheld) ISO250 at F5.6, -0.67EV at 1/2500s

Just sorting out a trip to Bass Rock for this summer which should be gannet paradise :)

    Cheers

    Rich

This image is well done. One small issue would be the direction the bird is looking. A bit of a head turn towards the viewer would be nice. Thanks for sharing...

I really enjoy this image, I like the cold feel of the blue grey background. Sharpness is great and the whites really work for you in this type of light

This is a great pov on this image Rich, well exposed, could go a little brighter imo.

Classic Bempton Gannet image, The good thing about shooting high on the cliffs there is the great background that the sea offers-Bass rock should be great-better prey for the weather

He is looking away!! but a very nice flight image. I would also make it a little lighter.
