Default Another One from Acadia National

I'm finally starting to sort out my images.

I tried HDR on this but it just wasn't happening, so I took the middle exposure and processed it in PS CS 4 by adding a ND Grad to darken the sky. I used Viveza to brighten up the trees on the left.

Should I tone down the grad? (Also I just noticed the dust spots, so I'll fix that).

    Thanks

Do you think I should tone down the grad? (I'm getting some minor glitches in CS 4 and I'll have to advise Nik)

SKy looks good but clone out the dust.

Sometimes this happens to me and I end up with one of the middle images being the best. The inclusion of the FG rocks makes this image.

Robert said it all here. I like this one much better than the other image form Acadia you posted. Much better colors and warm tones. And the rocks rock!

    Michael,
Another beauty! You've already noted the only nits I can see.

Without a before/after look I'm not absolutely sure, but to me it looks like the color in the clouds at upper right almost exactly matches the color in the rocks at left, which looks great to me - another aspect of balance in the image.

Really nice sky. I like how the color and the same in the rocks. Nice balance. Nice solid foreground.

Compositionally superb, but the filtered light on the scene--part in sun, part in shade, makes it impossible for me to love this one as I do most of your scenics.

Lovely colours. Might brighten up the darker regions of the cloud on ULC.
