Made it out to the wetlands a few days ago, not a whole lot of action. It seems that every bit of flora out there is taller than I am and requires quite a bit of slithering to get a clean field of view. What really tees me is Don pointing at something expecting me to be all hot to trot to make and image of what ever it is that I CAN'T SEE..he is 6'1". then when what ever it is has flown, swam or crawled off he says didn't you see that? Aha no.

    Anyway here's birdie

    Hi Nonda:

    Lovely photo of a female . . . well done :)

    Thanks for sharing.

You have a perfect match between the bird's colors and the bg. The bg supports and compliments both the bird and the plant. Wow!!!!
Like the bird looking back over it's shoulder - makes for a new image rather than one that we have all seen 100 times.
The lighting is excellent - not too contrasty.
Obviously at less than 6'1" you got a good low angle LOL
Really well done and very artistic in my view

Nonda, this is really beautiful! I would like to suggest that you crop some of the floral stuff at the very bottom of the image as it doesn't really add anything to the composition and tends to lead my eye out of the frame. Just the stuff at the very bottom, though...that little bit of a flower on the left of the stem and that small bundle on the right.

composition, image and capture are great. I like the turn around pose. The colors of the background compliments your subject well...good show...
