    Default Quivering osprey with fish

Hello. I am a newbie to this site and this is my first submission. It is going to be very unusual to those who are not too familiar with osprey behavior. I managed to get this one in mid quiver, though it does not appear the bird has gotten wet enough to throw any water drops from it's plumage, which is a shame! Interestingly enough, I think it looks just as good, if not better, flipped upside-down. Please let me know what improvements can be made- Thanks!

Welcome, Shawn! Cool pose and the fish adds to it. I might have gone to ISO 400 for higher shutter speed. You could apply some S/H to get more details in the plumage that is not sunlit.

    Hi Shawn,
you got the osprey in the right moment!
You've got quite a sharp image, although I think a shutter speed of 1/640 is not very fast for freezing that kind of action!
Some Waterdrops would add to it, of course ;-))

Thanks, Axel. I'll give it another try- this time more aggressively with the bird selected separately. Best regards

Well I must say that this is a first for me, I have seen the quiver b4 but not with a fish. Image looks good, could use a little shadow recovery but all else is great:cool:

Thanks, David, for your input. I agree about the shadow recovery.

Very nice bird position. I have similar one.
