    Default Cranes At Sunrise

Made a quick trip down to Bosque Del Apache over the weekend.

There were a few cranes and geese flying out in the morning. I liked this with the symmetry of the wings.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts

Very nice orange background. I have a hard time telling whether the cranes are coming or going. Interesting illusion. I still cannot make up my mind.

Nice BG colours and symmetry of the birds - maybe a little noise reduction on the BG. Illusion is interesting, I think they're going, no maybe they're coming:)

Keith, I like this image. The mountains and the sunset sky really set the scene. The slight pano crop works well for me. I agree with Tony about NR on the BG.

    Cheers,
    Greg

Thanks for your comments.... Here's a version with some noise reduction on the background.. I appreciate the input.

I was going to suggest some NR on the BG too. Looks good. It's getting me into a Bosque state of mind!

I never noticed the illusion of the cranes flying away from you or towards you.. Probably because my brain knew which way from taking the picture. I can now have my eyes/brain play tricks on me and see both directions... Very interesting. The real answer is that the cranes were flying away from where I was positioned.

Wow, I would have bet that they were headed slightly towards you... I have some where the bird was flying right at me but in the image it looks as if the bird were flying away from me. Anyway, cool image. Where exactly was it created?

The symmetry is almost perfect... In the repost, it is perfect (albeit with BKGR noise). (Done of course with some Quick Masking.
