    Default Last Light Grouse

Sooty Grouse, Mount Rainier National Park
    Canon 30D, 300mm f/4 and 1.4x TC
    1/80, f/6.3, ISO 400, handheld

An old image that I've posted elsewhere (but not here on BPN)...a favorite of mine for the subject and light. At the moment I pressed the shutter I was very worried about the exposure and photography angle...sure glad I experimented a little.

Light is spectacular and the BG looks fabulous with the warm glow. Your grouse is posing like he is a tough dude! Wonderful! :)

    Sweet image Judd!

Congrats, the light is fantastic and the pose is great.

I would crop out that little bunch of grass in the LRC.

Lovely, Judd. Light, BG just great. Good detail in the blacks.
