This past Sunday at Fort Desoto. Had a wonderful day, enjoyed the fallish weather and took lots of pictures. This is the first I want to share. Your C&C are appreciated. Thanks

Hi John,
I like the concept here. A few things to think about for your next capture and composition...:) Try to frame and compose in camera, watch the background, and watch the foreground before you squeeze the shutter. The bird on the right of the frame was cut off. I adjusted your composition to illustrate my point. I cloned out the bird, cleaned up the beach and the black blotch in the right hand side of the background near the tower...increased contrast and saturation and selective sharpened the birds. also toned down the whites...see if this presents better to you...
Great suggestions by Gus !!! Remember to include the entire bird .... no cutting. Would also wait to avoid the overlapping.
Can suggest to use a converter for increasing the focal length. At DeSoto you will have no problem making full body images of single birds.
Also can increase the shutter speed, your camera does well at 400 !!!
I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your comments and information. I really see the difference in the second touchedup photo. I can see I will have to brush up on my Photoshop skills also. The clipping of the bird's wing was a big oversight which I should have caught. I thought the items on the beach were just natural kind of beach items but I see that clean beach is much more appealing to view. More live and learn I guess. Thanks again!
