    Default Pelican box

I am looking for a Pelican waterproof box to store most of my equipment. Looking at the 1550 with padded dividers. What are most people using?

    Thanks,

    Maurice

You should take a look at Storm cases, they are 30% lighter and have better designed latches...I use a 2950 when home and on the ocean.

post removed, found answer to my question, ie: you can use padlocks on the storm like you can on the Pelican, although the pelican has metal reinforced padlock holes, the storm does not.

Maurice not sure what your application would be but do consider the weight !!! Pelicans are heavy !!

Another vote for the Storm cases. HPRC also makes some nice cases.

My vote goes for the Pelican, I have the 1520. Yes it's heavier than the Storm, but sturdier with better hinges IMHO and really takes the knocks in a marine environment.
    My 2c.

    Cheers
