    Default male Blackburnian Warbler

While I've done little photography or posting since spring, I wanted to stop by and post an image from spring that I just processed. The desire to get out again and photo birds is strong, so a winter trip to see family in SE Florida will have to include camera gear and a visit to Viera or Delray Beach.

This one was with at the time, my 500mm f4 and 1.4 with fill flash -2.

One of the best looking warblers in the N. United States. Would love to get one of these some day. The bird is photographed well; perhaps just a bit more eye contact: Though not too distracting, I might clone out the pine needles in the top of the frame, or crop it out. Great bird.

I like this shot I think the colors and exposure are good. I would only clone out the miidle top pine branch that is alittle hot and oof. I think the branches add to the feel of the photo. You could maybe lighten the eye a very little

I like it, the colours and light are great, excellent use of flash, eye contact is not very strong but I like the pose although I would've loved to see a little bit more of a profile (personal taste), BG is nice and the branches frame nicely the bird, I would only tone douwn the lighter green branch in the top. Congratulaitons!

A beautiful bird. Nice colours. I agree that eye contact could have been better. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely shot, Jeff. I love the lighting - good use of flash. BG and framing by foliage good. Only wish that the bird wasn't looking down as much.

Hey Jeff, great to see you up to photography again. I took a long break myself (still at it :) ). Lovely colors, pose and framing.

Give a holler when you come to Florida in December!

Love this species and this nice image of it. Good use of fill flash.
