    Taken at Sunnyvale Baylands this evening ...

    Canon 40D + Sigma 50-500 F4-6.5 APO DG HSM on Mongoose 3.5a
    ISO 800, 1/1600 sec, 500mm at f8, exp comp. -1.0

    Used Photoshop to clone out a bit foreground land mass. Also copied and darkened the background using multiply as blending mode. Your comments would be appreciated.

    I like it a lot Sure wish the other wing was up and fully showing !!!! Could lighten the head/neck area some Do like the flight direction and clean bg .. and btw very good light !!!!

    Nice light you had to work with. Sharpness looks good. The head angle is a bit awkward (I'd like a little more of a profile), and I agree with Al about the wing on the right of the image.
