Was working some Meadowlarks, Spoonbills, and Wood Storks near my home today, but this fellow just kept hanging around. He might be getting used to me, which is a good thing!
I wish for just a bit less head turn, but I'll take it ;). I opted for the square crop due to the diagonal perch. I also cloned out a weed that was in the right of the frame.

I agree with your self-critique about the head turn, this head turn and body angle were not easy to compose, the square format works well! Congratulations as BG, light, exposre and detail are amazing!

I agree about the head turn but the exposition is very good and the BG is fantastic. Great eye contact and you did well choosing a square composition Bob:)
