    Very nice light and pose, detail is great and comp is good, that plant in the BG is a little Distracting but I lke the shot anyway! Congratulations!

    Great timing and perfect exposure and detail. The composition really gives a great example of the environment. Very much like it as posted. Congratulations on a fine image John.

    Very nice John your comp works nicely the exposure looks spot on and I love the wing flap I might be tempted to clone out the feathers in the foreground..
    Just a thought thanks for sharing.

    Thank you all for the kind feedback. I was wondering if someone would comment on the somewhat empty LRC underneath its left wing. I had considered cloning some of the brush there but apparently it's not a problem.

    It is a wonderful image in terms of color, comp, wing-position and environment. But what I liked best about it is that it brought a spontaneous smile to my face.
