I am back after a long hiatus. Monsoon rains in India has finally ended. Winter in India is round the corner am eager waiting to make some images of winter migrants. Before that, I made this image couple of weeks back. It was more than 4 months since I got my tele lens out!

    Canon EOS 30D, Canon 300 F2.8 L IS USM + Canon 2x, ISO 160, F7.1, 1/800s, Gitzo 5540 LS. Full frame image.

    Thanks for looking.

Neat looking bird, and a nice open bill pose. Too bad about the huge OOF foreground (especially covering the foot)...and the sharpening seems strong. Thanks for sharing this new (for me) species!

Very nice! Thec contrast between the red and blue makes this one very special! I agree with Daniel abouu the OOF FG covering the bird's foot but only because of that as I loke the OOF FG a lot. Some noise reduction could help here. Congratulaitons!

Nice open bill pose I do find the foreground a little distracting and the bg is noisy but the bird looks good.
