Finally got to spend a few hours at Anhinga Trail on a very overcast day and without mosquitoes. Hopefully it will get better when more birds finally make it all the way down here. I was in the process of photographing another Anhinga when I spotted this guy coming in, needless to say that I was not ready for him because i should have used a higher shutter speed.

Oscar, Great shot. BIF shots are hard-none of mine look this good. So jealous you get to go to Anhinga Trail as a day trip!

I like the colors and the atmosphere of this photo. It's...different from most. Did you use flash?

I could be wrong but HAP may have something to say.

Hi Oscar - the colours and BG are very appealing, like the blurred wings and the eye still relatively sharp.
Not sure about the positioning in the frame.

    Nice :)

My type of image Oscar Love the feel its very well done !! If anything a little better head angle and would take a little of the top to accentuate the forward movement !! Big Congrats !!!

I like that you were able to keep the head sharp while capturing the blur of the wings. Really shows motion. I think you did a good job of reacting to capture this image. I like. I agree with Alfred that if the bird had been flying more toward you this would have been killer!. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Love the shot Oscar, thought of cropping, but I put it in CS4 full frame with a black BG and it looks great.
