A remote corner of Lake Chocorua, NH in early October. The sun is just starting to cut through the morning mist. Nikon D300, 70-200/2.8

    Hi John,
I may try toning down some of the mist brightness.........to give it more definition......but without sacrificing the mood of the image. Good idea to minimize the sky also. The peminsula that juts out along with the mist add to a nice layered effect.

    John,

You can cut down the mist affect some by doing a Local Contrast Enhancement (go to http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=20434 for details). Vary the settings suggested to change the affect.

If you have any questions, let us know.

    Nice composition as Roman suggested.

Thanks Roman and Robert for the suggestions!
Sorry for the late reply -- I've been traveling. When I get a chance this week to get back to the 'fun stuff', I'll try some tweaks to the image and advise the results.
