    A nice cooperative subject that I've never been able to find while tromping around the deserts of AZ & CA I think I'm probably to early in the spring on my trips.. Two suggestions, the first is the image a to centered getting the head out of the middle of the frame would help. Maybe into the upper right hand side of the frame... The other is you might have tried lying on the ground to get as close to eye level with the tortise as possible. That usually makes for a more striking image.. Thanks for sharing..

    Agree with lower perspective and cropping some off the top and right.Beautiful subject. Nice capture.
