I took a shot of a green apple left out on my bird feeder hook(apparently they didn't like it). I de-saturated it leaving the color values heavy to blue- thinking death is cold and this is how I can help portray that.

I get what you're going for here, Denise but the focus seems to really be off. To me, the wrinkled part of the apple should be the most in focus and here it appears to be the least. You've also got some really hot spots towards the bottom of the apple. Did you use flash?

It does look sharper but I have to say I don't think I love this as much as many of your other images. I think it is the overall "grayness" of it. I know that's what you're going for...I'm just not a big fan of mostly gray images.

Denise: This is not one of my favorite of yours. I think it is both subject matter and the color thast bother me.

I like the soft green and pale blue- And I like the pleating effect on the apple I think that is what pulled me into this shot. Sorry you don't like it. I do think it shows death in a suddle way and I'm happy w/ the re-post. Thankyou again for your comments. They are always appreciated.

    Lady Denise,
I like what you are trying to do...;) SUGGESTION...working with the same image base on the last post; I want you to turn the background into piano black; and then increase saturation and boost up contrast on the apple by 12 degrees...see how that feels to you, and selective sharpen just the boarder of the apple...from the heart Denise...from the heart...let it go...:)
