Does anyone know where I can rent a Canon EF400 f/4 DO lens for a 3 week trip abroad in March? I am concerned about weight and need a long lens for wildlife. Thanks.

I would do a search Susan I'm sure you can rent one. It is a great lens and if I would have stayed with Canon was on my list. Did borrow the lens from CPS a couple of time.

I am looking for the same lens for rent for next summer. So far I have not found it. I will let you know if I do.

I have thought of buying it--and then selling it--after the trip but whenever I have planned that in the past I end up keeping the item..

As of this posting, Lens Rentals (link above) has the 400 DO in stock. $575 for 30 days, insured, including 2-way FedEx. I haven't used them, but have heard recommendations from some aquaintances who have.

Roger who owns them ( Lens Rental ) is great. Their customer service is as good as it gets. I have used them on a number of occasions as have some of my friends and would recommend them without hesitation.
