Here is an image that I "Created" in Yosemite last year...

I wanted to emphasis the softness of the flowers against the redwoods...

Jerry, that is really lovely. Excellent composition and such a nice treat to see the soft flower against the rugged bark. Well done!

Hey Gerald, I like it, good subject and nice complimentary background. A little more DOF would have been nice to bring in more of the great details in the bark. Well done.

Good thinking and good work posing the dogwood blooms. I particularly like the green leaves bounding the flowers. Keep up the great work!

Overall I really like this composition and image. I would also like to see a little more dof. This it would have shapened up the tree bark background a little more which I would like because I find the bark very interesting. The second comment is a littl nit. I think I would like to see the brach come in at just a little more of an angle.

That said, this is still a super image. Very well done.

Gerald: Really nice composition and exposure. I like the tree a little soft. It puts more emphasis on the lovely flowers. The green leaves are a bonus.
