I have been super busy with work lately, and haven't gotten to take any photos. So I dug this one up from May of 2007.
I changed the background to black, saturated the red flower, did a a little sharpening and here it is.

    EOS 20D
    1/640 sec
    0 EV
    F5.6
    ISO 100
    90mm

Do you think the flower is over saturated? It was about this bright, but I'm not sure. As always C&C welcome and appreciated.

Alfred, thanks for the suggestions. Desaturated some, and tried to tone down (darken) the pollen. What do you think?
Denise, thanks for the kind words.

Looks better Lisa !!! Remember the reds are overcooked on their own by the camera !!!

    Hi Lisa,
Excellent repost. The black background makes the flower stand out...good show...

Thanks guys, it was fun making the black background. I'm sure I did it the hard way, at least it seemed excruciatingly slow.
