Brown Pelican Pose - S.W Florida

This one from few weeks back as the sun was going down. It took me SEVERAL days to get something similar to what I was looking for, which was a different pose. I think the pose is OUTSTANDING!!

    What do you think??

    Canon 30D, 400mm L @ f/8, 1/1000 sec, ISO 400, Handheld, Minimal crop to help composition.

Pose is great! Plumage looks a little weird in color?

    Hi Fab,

Maybe is the sun reflecting on the wet feathers or something but I really don't see any weird colors.... You could be right I just don't see it.

    Thanks!

Really like the diagonal created by this flight image Maxis. Good eye contact and particularly like the dangling feet.

Excellent Maxis. Agree the pose is special. Love the colours and light - almost looks as though it is carved from wood

Superb angle of flight, and this is pin sharp. Very well captured.

Yup, a sweet diagonal stretch to those wing...love it! Maybe you can manage something like this when the pelicans are in breeding plumage in a few months? Nice one!

That would be really cool Judd.

    Thank you for the advice!
