After three super-foggy mornings in a row I found this lone pelican on a clearer day, diving for food. They are beginning to show up regularly now in our area. I did a slight crop and made some other minor adjustments. Did I get the final image close to correct? How could I improve it? It seems not to "pop" as much as Id like it to . . .

    Hi Wendell,
I like the dive position of the pelican. you were shooting under harsh lighting conditions...I would suggest on toning down the hot whites on your subject. you have sharp details...the crop would work well as a vertical...

I like it Wendell Good suggestion by Gus One other thing that I like to do in this instance is going to a slow shutter speed. The pelicans will dive lots of time so you should get many chances. Reason I like it is to blur the bg water, does give it a nice effect !!!

Don't know about the correctness, but I agree that it's a cool image.
