    They kept landing and taking off in big groups. I had never seen these birds before. They reminded me of the red-winged blackbirds at Bosque.

    Canon 40D, 300 f2.8L IS

    Any comments welcome

    They are all flying a bit away from you and the white spots in the BG are a little distracting, but still this is a great shot, very nice capture! Congratulairons!

    Good comments from above. Love this kind of image with there incredible blast off and the yellow headed blackbirds are beautiful when captured like this. Many thanks for sharing JP.

    A bunch of beautiful YHBB a bird I would love to get a shot of. Very nice thanks for sharing.

    Like the action. Wish ther might have been a little better BG. I've always wanted to get an image of this bird. I notice that some of the birds have a white pannel in the wing: does this designate sex of the bird? Interesting image.

    Thanks for all your comments. I'll try this weekend for better background but it's a fenced in area so I'm limited as to where I can go. Some other photos had buildings in bg - I know that's not good.
