    Hi Folks:

Was sitting in the garden this morning doing OK with the Humming Birds. However, I was impressed with the Barrel Cactus with spring like blooms. With temparture in the 90's it hard to believe it is winter though the early Snowbirds are arriving every day with January the hordes bringing their welcome dollars to help out us natives.

Here's a photo I took before lunch in brilliant sunshine and clear vivid blue skies.

    CC's welcome and always appreciated.

    Keep smiling

Still setup for the Hummers. Will shoot different tomorrow if still blooming :confused:

    Gus,
Must admit I like the original, though I do like the way you play with the images.
I think the first almost looks like a silk flower - it has great depth to the petals. None of my cacti are blooming now, and I've never had a barrel bloom, this is beautiful.

I love how you got the satin feel in the photo! I like the original best, too.

I'll vote for the second on Uncle Gus. I like the B&W effects on this one.
