Sometimes I go months without photographing Spoonbills but in the last few weeks I've been very lucky to capture these guys left and right! :D

    Hope you like it!

    Canon 40D, 400mm L @ f/5.6, 1/2000 sec, ISO 400, RAW, Handheld, Cropped to help composition.

    Thanks!

I don't know how I missed this one Maxis just posted one myself from the 50-D. The Spoony is wonderful, great BG, wing position and eye contact, like I said, love everything you do.

Hi Maxis! Long time! I love this shot, the light, pose and BG are stunning! I might just selectively remove the sharpening effect on the blurred wing tips, other than that, as said, Great! Congratulaitons!

Beautiful flight image Maxis with lovely lighting and very nice wing position. The exposure is spot on and very nice eye contact.

I love this species and you guys kill me a little bit each time that you post an image of one of this beauties. I suggest to tone down a little bit the blue BG because the levels of light in the BG and in the spoonie are very similar. Toning down the BG would made the bird to pop-up a lot. The light is fantastic and love the pose of the bird and the wing stroke. terrific eye, by the way. Very well done
