    Default Water in the Desert

This wild stallion and his foal have a pattern of getting a drink every morning at sunrise. These watering spots fill up after a good rain and last about a week.

D300 with 80-400mm at 400mm (lens not at its sharpest at this length, but gives good reach), f/5.6, 1/1600, iso 800, ev -0.67

David, I have to tell you I'm a big fan of your wild stallion shots . I haven't seen you post one I didn't like. I most esp. appreciate the natural settings included w/ most shots. Always nice to see!!

This really tells a story, David. Really nice composition and exposure. Like the bubbling water and ripples. Well done.

    David,

Like the image and like how the colt is drinking and the adult is looking at the camera. Have you tried a reverse s-curve in situations like this with strong light. I have some info posted at http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=20434 on it.
