I know this is a little soft. I shot w/ a 100-400 and it was far. Also I know it was bright light But I don't get too many chances at Eagles. I felt honored just to watch him for 3/4 of an hour . I took a shot of him taking -off not very good I'll post later. Comment appreciated

    Hi Denise:

Great capture, I am jealous as I have never seen an Eagle in the wild.

    Thanks for sharing

    Uncle Gus :)

Hope you don't mind me taking out the branches?

I liked the perch! I guess that's why I'm still learning. Thanks Gus I appreciate it. I was honored to watch an eagle nest from a blind for approx. 3 weeks off and on-they had a small eaglet-I took shots but they are so far away I'm afraid not too good-but I'll try to e-mail you a few

    Hi Denise:

On second look I like the original perch too. He's like a traffic cop pointing the way. Could make nice "The Way To" signs, both left & right if you flip him horiz.

    Way out photo . . LOL-Get it?

    Denise: Nice!

Since you are in NJ (not sure just where) you should take a trip to the Conowingo Dam area. It's on the border of MD and PA not far off I-95. We plan on going up there a couple of times in Nov. when the eagles begin coming to fish in the river downriver from the dam. Sometimes the eagles grab a fish and fly into a tree on the edge of the parking lot. Lots of opportunities to get close and also to get flight photos. And even if you don't get the best photo, it's fun watching the eagles and gulls fishing.

    Keep up the good work.

    Linda

Linda Thankyou for the tip- I go to the Delaware River in NY during Jan. the eagles migrate from Canada because the water doesn't freeze. It's so cold but it's worth it . My friend and I watch for hours. I will try this place out though it sounds good. Once again thankyou for taking the time to help.

I'd add you've got a nice exposure as well. Plenty of detail in the dark and light feathers.
