Wife was working late and I was bored so I took the boat out to photograph these common around here birds before sunset.

Thought about eliminating what appears as a halo but are actually shadows.

Not usually a square cropper but this is how it turned out.

MkIII, EF 500 @1.4x, 1/3200, f/5.6, ISO 250, E.C. -1/3, hand held on rocking boat.

Excellent Mike Lovely wing position and do like the eye contact very much. All sharp and nailed the exposure !!! Everything to like abut it !!!
