One from earlier in the year that fits the motif Viera Wetlands can be a productive place for stilts, this is a full frame image, actually had to add a little canvas up front . Made the image just as it was starting to rain.

    Comments welcome and much apprecaited

    Love these little guys.
Love the out stretched wings and the key points for me are...

    Bird is flying towards you.
Head is angled towards the sensor plane.
Shutter speed is close to the focal length.
+ 2.3 EV to properly expose the bird.

    :)
    love it

Alfred, Very nice, I love the BG colors and the hint of rain. The extended legs are graceful. HA is good. The softness on the wings adds alot to the shot- there is an art to that and it doesn't go un- noticed.

Love the little red legs and the graceful flight. Very pretty BG too. Red does really make a nice accent colour.

Hi Alfred, nicely done! I especially like the two tone BG! Because there are only two raindrops in the focussed area, I would probably have decided to take them out.

I wonder if the green in the background that contrasts with the red of the legs and helps to make them ever more stunning. In fact, my eye is drawn first to the head and all the way along the body and legs in one continuous flow. Really very, very nice.
