Panasonic DMC-FZ18, handheld (IS), 83 mm (500 mm DSLR equiv.), ISO100, F/4.2, 1/200 sec, no EC, RAW. Selective sharpening on the dragonfly, cropped quite a bit for composition.

Another Common darter (Sympetrum striolatum) for you, this time the female of the species to illustrated the differences between the sexes. This frame was shot in my vegetable garden, but the dfly refused to choose a nice perch to sit on. Instead, it kept returning to this bamboo stick.
    C&C very welcome!

    Hi Jerry,

I really like it! I think the darter looks sharp, the wings look good and the background is excellent. Very nice job, Jerry.

Hey Jerry, very nice D-fly. Good body details, perch is ok, and a nice BG. Well done.
