We were parked at Mpondo Dam, in Kruger National Park, , high up there was a vulture circling, then it came lower and lower and we realized it was coming to drink, landed right in front of us , had a drink, turned around , looked at us, then gave us some nice take off shots, we wondered of the whole dam, to come and drink, why in front of us, only then we saw that there were lions drinking on the other side, what luck!! Now you have all the luck to see one of the prettiest vultures, enjoy.

Lovely bird and love the background story Loukie. Light looks OK despite the sun looking quite high in the sky - you've done well to keep detail in the lights and darks. Maybe a little more room around the bird if you have it and it looks a bit soft so maybe a bit more sharpening for optimal web display. Looks like you had a very productive trip to Kruger.
Loukie what a wonderful opportunity and thrill to be able to photograph this rare vulture. The image is wonderful with good composition, excellent exposure and beautiful detail and sharpness. Many thanks for sharing this awesome capture with us.
