    Welcome to BPN, Kevin! Nice first post, I like the details and head angle. A lower angle would have helped and ideally the sun would have been behind you. Keep them coming!

    Welcome to BPN. Axel's advice is good, as it looks as though the light was coming from behind the bird.

    Welcome, Kevin. This is a case where a little fill flash would have opened up the shaded areas and added a catch-light to the eye. Look forward to more.
