The birds in the BG are a great addition, and they're OOF enough not to distract. Cool :) I could see this working well if you aimed a little lower to leave more room for "virtual feet" too.
Great bathing pose with excellent exposure and detail !
I really like your idea of the getting the echoing of the black, white, and orange in the blurred bg.
But the large brown OOF area behind the head (a different species?) is a bit distracting for me in the
way it breaks the color scheme.
