    Default Early Snow

Fall colors and early snow on Mt. Hesperus in San Juan Mountains This is the West Mancos overlook. Rare to get color and snow at the same time. I could have used a few clouds.
    Canon 40D, lens 70-200mm f/4 set at 70mm f/11 1/320.
Again the colors are more desaturated than the image I prepared for posting. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong.

Hi Bill they do look a bit dessaturated and there is a cast on the slow

Did you convert the image to sRGB for posting? I like the basic composition Would like to see more detail in the shadow areas and tweak the contrast. btw this would have been great for a stitch panorama Great view !!!

    Hi Bill,
If you shoot in raw then I post process in 8bit (Photoshop CS4). I used to do TIFF(16bit) and then like you got surprised when I was ready to post in JPEG as the colours got desaturated and changed. Also if you use PhotoShop go to View/Proof Setup and make sure that it is set-up for either Windows RGB or MacIntosh RGB. Hope this helps.

I was unsuccessful in converting to SRGB. I think I have it now. I will try a repost.
