I had a nice morning with the pelicans at Morro Bay a while back.

Nice sharp image, Aiden. Nice catch-light in the eye. I would probably crop a bit more off the bird's right (left of image) wing and maybe a little off the top to lift the bird in the frame. I would tidy up the stray feathers on the back of the head. Not sure of the metering used to achieve your exposure values. If straight evaluative would be worth adding in some + exposure compensation to increase underwing details - halo ?related to shadow/highlight. Look forward to more.

One more vote for cropping bit more of right wing to balance the subject.

I agree with the above suggestions on cropping as it appears out of balance as is. Sharp image with good color and detail. Nice eye contact as well. Thanks for sharing.

I found a good general guideline is either clip both wings or none at all.

In the original I clipped both wings, but I rebuilt one wingtip in PS. I guess this sort of thing is subjective. ;)
