    Standing in shallow water at the edge of the lake I found a lot of things going on.

    I love the colors and the DOF is very nice. I would, however, crop off some of the right hand side. It feels too centered to me and I think the composition would be stronger if the bug were closer to the edge.

    No polarizer eh? Wow...good show!

    Good job Jules! I had had the thought but from the left and it didn't work. I felt I lost the water depth dimension. After I looked at it again on your suggestion I tried it from the right and that did it. Thanks a bunch - good eye. It was full frame so I decided to enlarge rather than add canvas. I take everything to 12x18. I think it held up pretty good. The 35MB un-compressed TIFF file I shoot is quite a bit sharper.

    Yes, that did it! Much stronger comp now. Very nicely done!
