Lady Denise,
I like the little guy and the composition looks great. The diffused pastel green background is very pleasing and compliments your subject very well. You have good eye contact and head angle. I just made a few minor adjustments to enhance your image. see if you like...I cropped the perch from the bottom just a hair, and took a little from the top, to zero in and focus more on your subject. I increased saturation and contrast just a wee bit...
Hi Denise, I really like this one! What makes it stand out for me is the vertical line the perch introduces at the bottom of the frame. Because of the powerful element this adds, I prefer the original over Gus' one, but I also like the tighter cropping from the top he introduced. The background looks a little odd to me (cloning?), but I'm on a bad monitor right now so I can't really tell.
I really like how the squirrel holds on to his nut. He almost looks like he's afraid you were about to take it from him!

No Cloning , My backyard is all trees -they still have their leaves(that's the BG) I wish they would start turning colors.Soon it's started getting cold . I changed the temp. a little bit and cropped a little and a touch of sharpening-thar's it
I also like it as you presented it. Love the pose. These images of squirrels is motivating me to pay some attention to the ones in my backyard. At least if I get a few images I could consider it pay for all the bird food they eat.
