OK, OK I know the background is very busy. But I love the pose of this Great Blue Heron. This image was made early this morning at Edwin B. Forsythe NWR in Brigantine, NJ. The temp this morning was about 40F but the winds were in the 25-35 MPH range. Very brisk and this guy was just hunkered down on a small, brushy island.
