    Hi Bill,
A big welcome to the BPN family...:)
I like the composition; just waiting for the cowboys and Indians to show up...:p:D:) I took the liberty of making a few changes to your image. I cloned out the cow that was cut in half on the left side of the frame, toned down the whites in the cattle all the way in the back by the base of the mountain, toned down the dust just a tad and punched up the saturation and contrast just a little, and finally sprinkled a little bit of selective sharpening...see if this presents better for you...

Thank you all for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it. I agrees with the changes and it helps. It leads me to a question. The image I sent is much more colorful that it came back on the forum. Did I do something wrong in the posting? My monitor is calibrated and I have printed this image without the loss of saturation and genral sharpness. I'm in the dark as to what happened.

bill, big welcome to BPN!!! this is screaming black and white!!! i tried b&w and then tinted it. tinted gave it more depth. added red and yellow. the red is what gave it the depth.

cool capture. love how gus cleaned up the frame edges. does make a difference!! cant wait to see what you post next!!!

Gus's removing of the partial cow in the corner did clean it up. Gives me something to watch for. Still don't understand the loss of color. The BW version is not something I had considered. Sure gives it an old West look. I like it. Thank you Harold.

This is the way it should have looked if I had been successful in converting to SRGB. My original method did not work. I encorporated the corner clean up and a little more sharpening. By Jove I think I have the posting down-now for the photography.
    Thanks all
