    Default Oystercatcher at Work

    American Oystercatcher
    Canon 40D, 500mm f/4 and 1.4x TC
    1/1000, f/10, ISO 400
    handheld on belly

Another from my time spent with the Ft. DeSoto Oystercatchers. This is a moderate crop, but I liked the intimate view with the bill probing for food and the eye reflected on the wet sand.

    Hey Judd,

Outstanding man... Excellent exposure control and colors. Very sharp and the eye is terrific. I like it!

Tight and dramatic. The sunlit portion of the leg might benefit from a selective Linear Burn.
