this guy is supposedly a rarity in these parts so thanks to ms judy lynn for letting me borrow her lens!! the light was nice and the water looked spectacular in spots and this was one of them. post processing was as simple as i ever did. straightened by drawing a line behind the bill down to the same place in the reflection, cropped (heavily, even the 600mm wasnt enough!), and sharpened the bird. three steps, that's it!!

let me know how you feel about it. thanks. H

    D300, 600mm, f/6.3, 1/500s, -1.3EV, ISO 400

oops!! i fibbed. i used the retouch brush in CNX2 to fix a couple of spots in the water. used in the right way i think this tool will be helpful!!

    Hi Harold:

Love everything about your super photo. Colors, sharpness, composition. Thought the 600 would be enough, was that 900mm equiv with Nikon's 50%?

    Thanks for sharing
