    Canon 20D , lens canon 300 f4 L IS with 1.4 II TC, iso 1600, f6.3 , 1/250.
    Took in " Rio Blanco", near the city of Manizales - Colombia.
    There are 33 kinds of hummingbirds and 362 kind of birds.
    The area is 2500 meters hight.

    Could you help us to find out which species it is?
    Nice image with gorgeous colors. I would add a bit more room on the top as the tip of the bill is pointing to the top of the frame.

    By the techs you posted, this didn't look like the best lighting situation. I really like the pose and composition. It does look a bit noisy, probably the 1600ISO?

    Beautiful bird and pose. Perhaps a little more room would help . I see some noise but quite acceptable for 1600 iso

    Welcome, Libertus! I don't think I have seen this species before. Thanks for sharing. Great find and I like the pose but it is a bit tight in the frame. I would apply a bit NR on the BG. Keep them coming.

    The scientific name is colibri coruscans (sparkling violetear).
    Range: 2100-3100 m.
    Find in South America.
