This is an image of an adult Bonapartes Gull that I got this morning at Quidi Vidi Lake in St.John's. This lake is quite possibly the best place on earth to view gulls- no joke- up to 13 species have been found on this lake in one day(in winter). I have pics of Yellow-legged Gull and Slaty-backed Gull in the same frame, which should be impossible!! Anyway, Bonapartes Gull is rare in Newfoundland with only a handful of reports each year, so I was pleased to get some acceptable images of this bird this afternoon. This bird is cropped quite a bit but I think I retained most of the detail.

Hi Dave,
This is beautiful. I like the composition, image and capture. The details are sharp and soft at the same time. The color rendition is great. The blue tones of the water are very nice; it compliments your bird well. I like it as presented...congrats...
