    Photograped this Great Egret up a tree at J N "Ding" Darling Wildlife Refuge this past March. I used my Sony alpha 100 with a Sigma 50-500 lens. f/7.1, 1/640. 0 ev, ISO 100, 250mm. Thanks for looking, all C&C's appreciated.

    Hi John,

    What a vivid blue sky but the bird is out of focus. I would apply more sharpening.

    I like the head angle and agree regarding the bird looking soft. A higher angle would have made it even better.

    Nice job on the whites. I agree that the bird is a bit out of focus. I wish there was a little more room on the right.

    Hi John, I too like the sky and the EXP is good but there are many problems with this image. As noted above, your angle to the bird is steep and the bird is not sharply focused. You have cut off the vitrual feet and the o-o-focus leaves in the foreground are distracting. As is, selective sharpening of the face using a Quick Mask would surely help.
