    I made this image from the lion and converted it to Black and White to emphasize the look of the beautiful eyes.

    Does it work?

    I do like the eyes. The expression seems to be rather forlorn

    Rosl,

    I think doing this image in B&W was inspired and a great way to go. I love the expression and the composition.

    I would like to offer you some tonal tweaks to enhance the image. In the repost, I did the following.

    Local Contrast Enhancement using USM on a BG copy at 25/40/0.
    Curves using PSCS3 medium s-curve preset.
    Quickmask the eyes to select them and then curves on that selection to lighten them up.
    USM to sharpen at 125/0.2/30 - two rounds.

    I'd love to see this as a B&W with the eyes left in color.....

    I love the looks. Robert's repost looks much better. B&W has its own charm.
