Northern Harrier
This little cutie was caught with her head down ... until my shutter went off.
Shot with Canon MkIII, 500f4 + 1.4TC, handheld at f5.6, 1/1250, ISO 400 and no flash.

Thanks for looking :)
Thanks to Jim, again!

A little hot on what looks like the upper tail coverts but other then that as pretty of a Harrier picture as I have seen.

Robert said it all!
Excellent work!

This is a great post. You pretty much nailed it. Your BG is great. What PP treatment did you give it? That has been a problem for me lately.

Bill, this is just gorgeous!!! Fantastic pose, background, sharpness, and head turn. Couldn't be better.
-
Sweet, Bill! The eye contact puts this one over the top. Lovely work!
-
Superb capture Bill! Works well for me - wish it was mine. Posture, eye contact all that you need is there - VWD!

Good one. Love the stretched wings.
-
Sweet image and great BG.

Fantastic stuff Bill. One of your best to be sure.

Homerun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.
My PP for this guy was simply a sharpening of the bird and NR of the BG.
