    The mottled ducks are coming back to Green Cay and the opportunities for flight images are numerous. This was taken in the early morning light as several of them flew overhead.

    Nikon D3
    Nikon 300mm F2.8
    ISO 400
    1/2000, F6.3

    Nicely done! Love the underwing view!

    Composition-wise, for my taste, might position the bird just a tad higher in the frame and have
    a bit more room on the right.

    I like the crop here, along with the spread wings. Eye contact is good too. There appears to be a dark halo around the bird, most noticeably around the head and neck.
