Superb image Stephen, the BG is terrific but I think that the blue is a bit oversaturated. The pose of the bird is fantastic and the details excelent

    Simply Amazing!!
Everything in this picture (Highlights, Sharpness, BG) are perfect.
The only nit is the head angle which with a slight degree to the right would have made this even better in my opinion.

Wonderful detail and pose, I wish you could have gotten him with a solid BG as is it competes with the Swallow for my attention but thats really just a minor nit.

Fabulous pose and sharpness. Great light too. I would bring the blues down a notch or two though.

Nice pose and light. BG is oversaturated. Did you blur the BG in this post?

What a beautiful swallow. I like the graded BG, though I also think it's so saturated that it distracts from the swallow a bit. Still, a really excellent shot!

Stunning pose, beautiful light and razor sharp. I like the graduated colors in the background, but does seem a little oversaturated. Gorgeous image!

Thx everyone for your comments. The bg is oof water and grassland and it I only applied some nr to it. I made several images in this series of which several have one coloured bg's. I stood on my toes when I made this image as I wanted the dual tone bg. Your input with regard to the saturation is noted.

The swallow is pin sharp Stephen, and love the raised wing. I think the BG is amazing.
